Our Story Begins...
It started out as a normal day at Community General Hospital.
Amanda Bentley had just walked out of the pathology lab, when
Jesse Travis ran up to her and told her, " I want to know
where Mark is. I need him now. A little girl just came in through
the emergency entrance and passed out. I checked her vital signs
and it seems she has a very serious kidney failure. We need to do
surgery on her. I need him now! Where is he?" Amanda got
tired just thinking about how fast Jesse had said all of that.
After a few seconds she replied, " I think he is in the
doctor's lounge. I'll come with you. I want to see this
girl." As the two of them ran down to the doctor's lounge,
they found Mark Sloan reading the news, with a puzzled expression
on his face. Jesse walked up to him and pulled him out of the
chair and told him everything. Then the three of them hurried to
the ER. But it was too late. After Jesse had gone to get Mark,
the girl had died.
Two days later, Jesse was in the doctor's lounge, lying on the
couch as if someone had died, which actually happened. When Mark
walked in, he told Jesse that it wasn't his fault. But that he
did make a wrong conclusion on what the girl had. He told Jesse
that she was poisoned. She was murdered.
That was the last thing Jesse wanted to hear. He thought he could
save a little girl, but he was wrong. Jesse felt awful. "
Why would someone want to murder a little girl", he asked
Mark. But Mark answered something that Jesse was not up to
hearing. " I don't know." A week later, Steve asked
Jesse what happened. But Jesse was still to shocked to answer.
The next day, Steve told Jesse that they know who the killer is,
but did not find him yet. " We can show you his records, if
you want to see them", Steve told him. Jesse got out of his
chair. He walked over to the computer and sat down. " His
name is Tony Valeria. Unfortunatly, you might want to know the
little girl's name is Jan Valeria. I'm sorry, Jess'.
Really." Jesse just sat there with a puzzled face. "
Why would someone want to kill their daughter?"
An hour later, Jesse was in his apartment, reading, when there
was a knock a the door. He opened the door, and...
" The last thing I remember is a man that looked like the
one Steve showed me. Tony something I think his name is. Ask
Steve. But when I opened the door, He said, 'What did you do to
my daughter?'. I told him that he poisoned her. And when I woke
up, I was here. What did he do to me?" Amanda told him
" The man tried to kill you, Jesse. He probably thought that
if anyone found out that he did it, they would tell the police. I
guess he knew that you found out. But anyway, he hit you in the
head with a 2x-4x. You suffered a concussion and you have
stitches in the back of your head. I think you know how one part
of that feels." Oh, shut up," Jesse replied.
After a few days, Jesse was released from the hospital, and was
back to work at the hospital. But things still weren't good. He
was in the parking garage and...
"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Amanda screamed. She pulled out her cellphone and dialed 911.
When Mark was paged, he ran to see who came in at the ER. He was
shocked to see Jesse, lying there, losing his blood. He couldn't
stand it. " Gun shot to the chest. Severe heart damage.
About 3 pints of blood lost. Take him to the OR. STAT!",
said Mark. He was biting his lip, trying to hold back tears. He
rushed to the OR and was about to put on his scrubs... "
It's too late. We tried to save him. The gunshot was just to
close to the heart. He lost to much blood. I'm truly sorry",
said Dr. Wilson. " It can't be", Mark said to himself.
"He was to young". Mark was crying by now. But Amanda
was sobbing. She asked another nurse to do the autopsy so she
didn't have to see Jesse, dead. It was way to complicated for
her. After Steve heard the news, he was running to the pathology
lab, hoping that Jesse wasn't the one lying on the table with a
sheet covering his head. But Steve came out, crying, as he did
when his mom had died. Just about the same. Only because his
mother was a little older than Jesse. But Jesse was too young to
die.
" Why did this have to happen to Jesse?", Amanda asked,
sobbing. As always, but a lot more upsetting, Mark replied,"
I don't know."
Two days later, Amanda, Mark, and Steve were planning a funeral
for Jesse, when the phone rang. " It's Jesse's mother. What
should I tell her?", Steve asked his dad. " Just tell
her the truth.", Mark replied.
" Hello?" " Hello. Is this Steve? Hi. This is Mrs.
Travis. How are you? Is Jesse there? Can I speak to him?"
"Um... Uh... Mrs. Travis, I know this is going to be the
worst thing you ever heard, but Jesse is gone. That's the truth.
We are planning his funeral right now." Steve could hear
Mrs. Travis sobbing at the other side of the phone line. Steve
felt afwul having to be the one to tell Mrs. Travis about her son
being dead. This was going to be the hardest time for everyone,
having to deal with the loss of one of their best friends, and
also because they thought that Jesse was too young to die.
At the funeral, there were hundreds of people, sobbing and
crying, wondering why this had to happen to someone so young.
Mark, Amanda, and Steve all gave a eulogy. At one moment, while
Amanda was giving her eulogy, she begin to cry right in the
middle. This was a very sad moment for all of them.
After a few days, the gang were at church by themselves, praying
that Jesse was in a better place now.
